About Riverview Park and Zoo
Riverview Park and Zoo houses more than 150 animals, including over 40 species. Animals at our Zoo have the choice to stay in their private cages or in naturalistic exhibits.
A unique, recreational facility offering attractions to people of all ages. The zoo features 27 exhibits, with over 48 species, including Yak, Camel, Wallaby, Emu, Macaw, Squirrel Monkey, Cougar, Plated Lizard, Meerkat and more!
The park covers 55.5 acres and is the largest and most diversified playground in the city. It also features equipment for physically-challenged children.
With a splash pad, frisbee golf course, walking trails, a miniature train ride, and beautiful gardens the Riverview Park and Zoo has something for everyone.

Does Riverview Park and Zoo have a gift shop?
Want to buy a unique souvenir from Riverview Park and Zoo? The north main gate is the Guest Services building, which has a large selection of plush animals, children's toys, books, and Riverview branded items. You can also grab some money at the ATM if you need it.
All proceeds from the gift shop are used to support the Park and Zoo.
Teachers corner
An outdoor environment provides the setting for Park and Zoo, an educational facility that encourages exploration and connection to nature. We welcome thousands of students and see over a quarter million visitors annually.

In addition to our daily Animal Encounter programs, we also offer two- and four-hour curriculum-based programs in which students participate in in-class activities, have an animal encounter, and learn about the zoo. Programs are led by Zoo educators in conjunction with classroom teachers and chaperones. Most days are school days.
