The mission of Ripley's Aquarium of Canda is to provide a world class experience for all who visit, to encourage a learning experience (not just on the creatures themselves but also on the important topic of conservation), all the while offering a fun and entertaining experience for both locals AND tourists of all ages!

When you visit, you will get to immerse yourself in a world of 20,000 aquatic animals (yes, you read that right!) as you discover your own underwater adventure.
The Aquarium boasts over 5.7 million litres of water, AND it also features North America’s longest underwater viewing tunnel. If that wasn't enough, the aquarium offers more than 100 interactive opportunities!
Kids can get up close and personal with a number of really fun touch exhibits including ones that feature scarlet cleaner shrimp and stingrays.
This awe-inspiring attraction consists of ten carefully curated galleries that showcase a cross section of saltwater and freshwater environments from all around the world, with species right from Toronto’s backyard, and across the Great Lakes basin.

Ripley's Aquarium of Canada FAQ’s
Do they have baby facilities?
Strollers are allowed in the Aquarium, but please note the following exceptions: Wagons or other pull vehicles are not permitted in the Aquarium. On busy days, oversized strollers and backpack-style child carriers might not be permitted as they can pose a risk to other visitors.
I’m Hungry! Can I get food at Ripley's Aquarium of Canada?
Their café is open from 12pm to 7pm Thursdays – Sundays for hot food service. Their vending machines are open for snacks and drinks also.
Any top tips when visiting?
The experience takes approximately 2.5 hours so allow at least that, and also check timings online ahead of time for any talks or feedings so you can plan around them!

They love to host field trips! Their suite of school programs offers a range of interactive and exciting options that are designed to meet Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum standards and provide participants with a deeper understanding of the aquatic world and the importance of environmental protection and conservation

Is Ripley's Aquarium of Canada fully accessible?
They have wheelchairs free of cost. You need to leave a form of ID at Guest Services. Please note these wheelchairs are subject to availability.
Any additonal information?
On weekends, holidays, and throughout the summer season, their peak hours are 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Peak hours for weekdays during their off-season are 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Try visiting outside of these times to avoid crowds!
