About Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum
Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum showcases rail and forest industrial heritage from Northern Interior BC. Take a peek into the past on an 8 acre park-like setting. Historic Penny Station, railway and forestry, motive power, machinary and equipment; heritage fire hall, and BC Tel pioneers building, gift shop and parking available.
Home to many locomotives, rolling stock and heritage railway buildings, most are available for you to go in and explore. Many of the pieces were used in rail lines that pass through or are connected to Central BC and include the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway, Canadian National Railway, Pacific Great Eastern Railway and BC Rail.
You'll also find lots of exhibits including Penny: Found Memories. It presents the story and history of the small industry community of Penny and you'll experience what life was like! Watch the video of how the staton was moved to Prince George and listen to voices of the residents as they remember their time living in a small industry town. There's also a kids section with colouring sheets and a scavenger hunt too.
There are lots of regular programs and events throughout the year so before you visit remember to check the website to see what's happening when you arrive!
