Mount Revelstoke National Park
About Mount Revelstoke National Park
Mount Revelstoke National Park is a place of contrasts. Take a drive along the summit parkway through a variety of geographical zones. From dense old-growth rainforest of giant cedar and pine, travel up through subalpine forest, and finally alpine meadows and tundra.
Marvel at the spectacular view of the ice-clad peaks of the Monashee Mountains and, to the east, the Selkirk Mountains. The Giant Cedars hiking trail takes you through a stand of ancient Western Red Cedars, and the Skunk Cabbage trail introduces you to jungle-like wetland, a birder's paradise.
Challenge yourseld to a 26km bike race, climbing to a huge 2,000 metres! Or stand at the top of the site of the only ski jump in Canada where world records were famously set. In the Spring and Summer enjoy the beautiful meadow flowers in the sky parkway.
With lots of learning experiences on offer, from hikes to activity books, it's a great place to explore with the whole family and a chance to get outdoors in the beautiful surroundings.
