Insects are often misunderstood creatures, but they are beautiful, wonderful, weird, colorful, and fascinating - so why not learn all about them at the Montreal Insectarium! The Montreal Insectarium is where there are some of the world's most beautiful insects just waiting to be admired. Families can go and learn all about these amazing species, and why they are so important to the world!
Why don't we start with the spiders, because these are often what people are most fearful of - but don't be!
Did you know that spiders are masters of seduction, as well as fearsome hunters? They can adapt incredibly well, and they are an important part of the ecosystem.
The Montreal Insectarium also have ants, butterflies, stick insects, flies, and even scorpions to explore!
Do you know what an arthropod is? Well, we know the best place to find out! There is just a wealth of knowledge waiting to be learnt.
The Insectarium have permanent exhibits that you can always go back and see, including We Are The Insects that teach you all about how they live, and Atta Ants, where you can see before your eyes how ants maintain their nests and defend their colony!
They also have amazing collections of insects, as well as travelling exhibits
There is so much waiting at the Montreal Insectarium, so why are we waiting - it's a Bugs Life, and so let's go and join them!

Do they have baby facilities?
Strollers are available, and there are changing tables in the bathrooms of reception and the Insectarium. A breastfeeding room is also available
I’m Hungry! Can I get food at Montreal Insectarium?
There is a restaurant in the Botanical Garden here you can enjoy great food on the outdoor patio, with seasonal and organic produce!
Any top tips when visiting?
Keep an eye out for special events, especially seasonal like Halloween as there are always great experiences!
Does Montreal Insectarium have a gift shop?
In the area the Botanical Garden has a gift shop with is filled with books, accessories, plants and jewellery - and then some!
