About Medalta in the Historic Clay District
What better place to learn all about history, than in a century-old factory! Medalta in the Historic Clay District is set against the dramatic cliffs of the South Saskatchewan River in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Already your family day out is impressive!
This 150 acre Historic Clay District was once home to some of the country's most important clay factories, including Medalta Potteries, Hycroft China, National Porcelain and Alberta Clay Products.

Then, you can move to the contemporary galleries where you can see creations from regional, local, and international artists. Get ready to be inspired!
