About Marmot Basin
Marmot Basin has the highest base elevation of any Canadia ski area. There are 1720 acres of skiable terrain to discover across five mountain faces! Suitable for all ages and abilities there's lots to see and do at the park to make sure you have an enjoyable stay.
The longest run is 3.5 miles and the terrain is diverse, with groomed runs, trees, alpine bowls and chutes. Skiing and snowboarding lessons and open routes are available, with lessons beginning at age 4 and all levels of ability catered for with route options split 30% green runs, 30% blue, and the rest black. There is also a beginner friendly terrain park for developing skills and confidence. Very pro family approach and other activities include geocaching.
At the base of the hill you'll find the Caribou Chalet. Perfect for warming up around a fire and getting to know the fellow skiers! It's open daily for food and drinks. You'll also find some winter sports gear if you need some new attire. Or there's gift shops too so you can take home a souvenir to remember your visit by.
