About Manitoba Planetarium
Manitoba Planetarium is a domed multimedia theatre designed to recreate the magic of the night sky. Visitors to the Planetarium become intrepid astronomical explorers as they embark on a voyage of discovery. They can explore the night sky as seen from anywhere on Earth, or journey far into space to visit the planets, stars, and beyond. Laser shows will play at the Planetarium all summer long. See them all: the British Invasion, Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon, Daft Punk, and Queens greatest hits.
There are a number of shows at the planetarium for all ages! The Explore shows will take you on a trip to Mars, with stops throughout history where you can discover the knowledge needed to travel to other worlds. It follows humanity's drive to explore our universe. Legends of the Nortern Sky will have you learn and appreciate the indigenous people of North America as you learn more about their stories in the stars and the spirit that connects us all.
The Magic Globe is for families and you'll follow the story of Mia and her grandpa as she accidentally discover a mysterious machine that changes the world's seasons! Manitoba Skies will have you take a guided tour of the night sky, with constellations, planets and events that you can see on clear evenings. I’m Hungry! Can I get food at Manitoba Planetarium?
Snack/drink vending machines and a water bottle filler are located in the Foyer and available for visitor use. Festival Hall is also open as a lunch room for visitors to enjoy food/drinks they bring from home.
Does Manitoba Planetarium have a gift shop?
Gift shop on site!
Is Manitoba Planetarium fully accessible?
Main entrance to the Manitoba Museum and includes a ramp and stairs to the Museum lobby.
