About MacBride Museum
Conveniently located in downtown Whitehorse, the MacBride Museum is the place to start your Yukon adventure. The museum preserves and protects Yukon's history and is dedicated to promotion the value and enjoyment of the history.
The museum presents high quality education programs that are link to the curriculm and there are regular themed programs for adults, families and children too. The museum tours are available upon request, or you can head round on your own self-guided tour if you prefer.
The young explorers preschool program is designed for children to explore the museum together with their family. The activities focus on a different animal each week, so it'll be different everytime you visit! The program runs on Saturday mornings from the beginning of October to the end of April. You'll play games, create crafts, read stories and sing songs at this family event.
The museum provides tours and programs for students and is a fun way to engage students in the history. You'll use social studies to ask questions, explain the signifcant of local events, ask questions and recognise the positive and negative aspects. Make sure to check the website so you know what's happening when and where!
