London Heritage Farm is a 4.06 acre historical site that overlooks the south arm of the Fraser River. The site offers a 1880's farmhouse in a park-like setting with lovely heritage and herb gardens, the restored Spragg family barn, old farming equipment, a small hand tool museum, chickens, bees, allotments and large lawns as well as picnic tables and public washrooms.
The site is one of the earliest farm sites in the area. The farm produced dairy products, oats, barley and fruits, with a water tower and outhouse. These buildings no longer exisit but you can easily imagine that they are there! The London's lived at the farm until 1948, and after many years was purchased by the City of Richmond.
As a visitor, you can explore the fully restored and furnished Victorian farm house. Learn more about the agricultural history by taking a look at the outdoor exhibition which features a vintage threshing machine and discover a hideen talent for butter churning and performing Victorian chores! If you wanted to head outside, then there are beautiful community gardens which allows you to relax within nature. Take a picnic too!
