Inglewood Bird Sanctuary and Nature Centre
About Inglewood Bird Sanctuary and Nature Centre
Inglewood Bird Sanctuary and Nature Centre is a 36-hectare wildlife reserve, which offers more than two kilometres of level walking trails and over 1 km of nature trails, throughout the riverine forest, by the flowing river and alongside a peaceful lagoon.
The sactuary have been providing birds with a place to rest since 1929! There are 270 species of birds, 21 species of mammals and 347 species of plants that have ever been recorded. It's an ecological haven that connects the community with their wild neighbours and the rest of nature. Youll be able to explore this protected natural environment with the whole family.
There is an indigenous art exhibit on site, which is a rotating exhibition of works from local artists that connect to the land, which will rotate quarterly throughout the year. There's also an outdoor learning centre and classroom which allows the centre to teach children about nature and the environment. Why not bring the school class here?
There's also lots of nature programs, courses and events that celebrate the parks and promote environmental stewardship whilst exploring the wonders of nature.
