Historic Hat Creek Ranch offers a rare opportunity to explore the original buildings of a key location in the transportation history of the Cariboo. The site also present the story of early use of the valley by people of the Shuswap Nation and their more recent contribution to the growth of the ranching industry.
There so many things to do at historic hat creek! Enjoy a Stagecoach ride which is included in your admission and is open from 10am - 2pm Wednesday to Sunday. The blacksmith area will allow you to watch the blacksmith make a nail and you may even get to take one home with you! The gold panning is included in your admission and you'll have the opportunity to pan for river rubies at the miners camp.
The Indigenous Interpretation Site is a great place to start your visit! It has many traditional displays and objects and signs to help you explore and you may even see some crafts, tools and more on show too! There are lots of displays too, so if you do have a question ask one of the guides as they'll be able to answer any questions you may have.
Onsite you'll find a gift shop which sells lots of locally handcrafted items to take home with you. They also have a restaurant on site filled with delicious snacks, meals and ice cream too!
