About Heritage House Museum

This elegant Victorian dwelling, Heritage House Museum,  recreates the lifestyle of a wealthy mill owner c.1867 through eight furnished period rooms. The museum also offers changing exhibitions, art shows, day camps, educational programs, gift shop, gardens, picnic area and special events throughout the year. Ask for the "Fun in the Falls Passport" at any of the 3 museums or Hershey Chocolate Shoppe.

Any visit to the house can include a guided tour by one of the knowledgable staff members. There are a number of tours to choose from. The ghost tour runs in the evenings and you'll hear stories about ghost sightings and other creepy goings on and the building will be lit by candlelight to give it an eerie feel.

The Victorian life tour features restored period rooms and the guides will show you have the Bates and Ward familieslived in the 1870s. The saved by the bell cemetery tour will take you through three local cemeteries and you'll discover traditions, tales of local people and superstitions!

As well as tours, there are lots of programs and events for the whole family of all ages. The victorian program will get children to step back in time and experience life during the Victorian era by exploring the museum and going on a scavenger hunt! You'll learn about toys, play games and even try your hand at some ice-cream making!
