Fernie Alpine Resort gets a huge 37 feet of snow fall each year, which is enough to cover a three-storey building! There are five enormous bowls, lots of glades and chutes and a variety of terrain which will appeal to all levels of abilities.
There are 142 trails in total, with the top elevation of 7000 feet! The resort covers 2500 acres with plenty of activities and things to see and do. Skiing and snowboarding lessons and open routes are available, with lessons beginning at age 4. All levels of ability catered for with route options split 30% green runs, 40% blue and the rest black.There is also a rail park for developing skills, tricks and confidence.
The dining on site is vast, with lots of options to choose from. From fine dining with an incredible view at the Cirque restuarant and bar, to the family friendly dining in the Legends resturants for a pizza night!
You'll also find a shopping complex, with a sports alpin boutique to pick up the latest clothing and gear to a grocery store if you fancy a snack or need to stock up on your essential supplies for your stay.

Any top tips when visiting?
Always check the snow reports before you go. Winter tires or chains are required on most routes in British Columbia from October 1 to March 31. These routes are marked with regulatory signs posted on numbered and un-numbered highways throughout the province.
