About Essex County Steam and Gas Engine Museum

Essex County Steam and Gas Engine Museum collection consists of antique small engines, old tractors and turn of the century steam engines. Other unique items have also been collected by the museum, such as the first Canadian steam engine built in Windsor Circa 1903. There is always something new to see for the whole family. 

There are guided tours that will teach your about the past motorised history, as well as old small engines, tractors, steam engines and farming equipment which is all on display. You'll be able to see first hand how things have changed! 

Each year they hold an annual show for the whole family. You'll see tractors, steam engines and lots more. as well as craft vendors, tractor pulls, wagons and much more. There's also kids entertainment which will keep all ages occupied and is great for any rail enthusiasts! 

The museum shoes later 19th century and early 20th century gas and steam powered engines and antique tractors and helps promote the public interests through their displays. It's a great place to learn more about the heritage and how things have changed to today's rail world.
