Double Tree Village Museum
About Double Tree Village Museum
Double Tree Village Museum is a museum in Alberta with a difference! You see, the owners just LOVE antiques, and have collected them over the years, which is how the Double Tree Village Museum ended up today as a great antiques collection that spans over 25 buildings!
The buildings are worth a visit in itself, with a general store, church, school, dress up shop, bank, and even a hotel!
Every inch is lovingly stocked with authentic period antiques and decorated convincingly. It's a fascinating trip through time!
Their wagon and sleigh rides are popular too, especially with kids! Spend the day riding along, being are pulled by a beautiful team of Belgian horses, through the trees and across their fields where you just have to watch out for wildlife, birds, farm animals and wild flowers around Hidden Lake. An ideal treat, summer or winter!
Check what events they have across the year too! Christmas is always a fun time to visit, with Double Tree Village is decorated for the festive season, and the sleighs are set with red bows and bells.
Kids will especially love the farm animals that they have in the area, where you can pet them and make new friends! Keep an eye out for those Pioneer Days Festivals too!
Great family fun in Alberta, where you can go back in time through history, and see what life would have been like for those pioneers! An invaluable experience for kids in history and FUN!
