Canada's Dinosaur Park and Reptile Zoo
About Canada's Dinosaur Park and Reptile Zoo
It's time to meet some new friends at the Canada's Dinosaur Park and Reptile Zoo!
The Canada's Dinosaur Park and Reptile Zoo is home to 400 reptiles from around the world as well as 100 live crocodiles, alligators, and caimans! All waiting for you to get up close and personal at Canada’s largest exhibit!
The creatures are really special as many were rescued from the pet trade, and some of which are endangered, and none of which can be returned to the wild, so you know the zoo is doing a great job in looking after these beautiful creatures to ensure they have a happy life!
The reptiles are kept in climate controlled conditions with each enclosure mimicking the reptiles natural habitats, and the reptiles are rotated to be on display, giving them a break thus reducing their stress, which is great!
It's a great educational experience for kids, because not only can they meet reptiles indigenous to Canada, and from the rest of the world, but they can also learn about them with the fact sheets next to each enclosure.
Many reptiles are misunderstood, so the exhibits at the Canada's Dinosaur Park and Reptile Zoo offer a chance for these barriers and misconceptions to broken down, and kids can gain a more realistic understanding of alligators, snakes, frogs and more!
Also at the zoo are as the name suggests - DINOSAURS! You can learn all about these prehistoric creatures on your very own drive-thru dinosaur safari, or you can take to the trails and walk the route!
Keep an eye out at every turn for Scotty the Tyrannosaurus Rex or watch out for the Giant Spinosaurus!
Did we mention there is also an 18-hole mini golf course to enjoy too?
Reptiles, alligators, caimans, crocodiles, dinosaurs and mini golf - what more could a family day out ask for!?
