About Buffalo Pound Provincial Park

Buffalo Pound Provincial Park pays tribute to its past use as a hunting grounds by maintaining a herd of plains bison in a hillside paddock. But today, the focus of this park 20 minutes northeast of Moose Jaw is memorable getaways for fun-seekers and nature lovers alike.

The park offers a blend of nature and recreational activities for the whole family. Offering hiking, mountain biking, fishing, canowing and kayaking, there's so much on offer to keep the whole family occupied. There are two disc gold courses, one beginner course which is 9-holes and a more professional course which is 18 holes.

There is a brand new heated outdoor pool too, so everyone can make a splash when the weather is hot! You'll be able to spot the migrant waterfowl at the Interpretive Area and Marsh Boardwalk and the amazing views of the Qu'Appelle Valley which are great in the fall.

If you fancy extending your stay then there are two yurts available booking and also the brand-new hanging in the park where you can experience hammock camping!
