Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre offers adults and children's programs, special events and home to the Bruce County Archives and Research Room. You'll find always on exhibitis as well as temporary ones, so make sure you check out the website to ensure you plan you visit well!
Some of the always on exhibitis include the Hall of Creation, Geology and The Ice Ages. You can dig for wooly mammoth bones, study fossils and even touch the living iceberg and learn how prehistoric tropical seas and ice ages shapres the county's landscape. There are three different creation stories on how the world was created and you can feel how cold the ice ages would have been to!
TheLast Fontier pays homage to Bruce County's Pioneers and shares the stories from the 1850's to the 1900s. You can explore the history of furniture making and learn a new skill from this era. There are lots of interactive screen and monitors, as well as a showcase of domestric activities such as dairy, recipes, weaving and quilting.
There are many family and children's events too. Including schools out movies, maker series and special festive events including a visit from Santa and lots of winter movie musicals to keep the kids entertained over the holidays.
