Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park is a world renowned cultural, educational and entertainment centre built for the promotion and preservation of the Siksika Nation Peoples’, Language, Culture and Traditions. Enter a stunning new facility and embark upon an unforgettable journey as you delight in fantastic Exhibitions and dazzling performances. Don’t limit yourself to the building… take a self-guided tour of the numerous historic sites with trail markers to explain the importance of each site.
Head to the Vision Quest Theatre which offers an introductory video in its theatre, with shows running throughout the day. Experience the history, culture, watch fance and craft and eat all in the historical park. Onsite, you'll find a cafeteria where ou pick up a tasty snack. When your day is done, don't forget to head to the gift shop to pick up a unique souvenir to remember your visit by!
At the Tipi Village, local interpreters demonstrate traditional crafts and survival skills, such as tipi making and hide tanning. If you fancied extending your stay, you can even stay at the tipis too which makes for an original and unique camping experience. The park is located just 100 km east of Calgary, a scenic 1.5 hour drive from Calgary.
