About Belleville Scout Guide Museum
Belleville Scout Guide Museum features over 40,000 items which include books, magazines, journals, postcards, stamps & first day covers, newspaper articles, uniforms, badges, mugs, pins, belt buckles, woggles, banners and posters to name just a few. Any item which is associated with boy scouts and/or girl guides is considered a collectable and a memorabilia item which preserves history.
Started in 1975, the museum has grown to be one of the largest collections of Scout-Guide memorabilia on permanent display in Canada. Museum tours and are completley free and by apoointment only. The museum is funded by donations from community groups, and preserve the scouting and guiding history.
The museum can also come to your events too using a portable static display, just remember to give them 6 months notice! The museum is the perfect day out for any child that is currently in the scouts of guides as it will help them understand the history of their hobby, whilst supporting the museum and the history.
