About BC Sports Hall of Fame

There is nothing better than seeing kids get inspired by those who have achieved greatness - and at the BC Sports Hall of Fame, they can spend time learning all about athletes and sports men and women who dared to dream!

The BC Sports Hall Of Fame is located at BC Place, and is located via Gate A. The museum was set up to preserve and honour the extraordinary achievements by British Columbians - all those people who just pursued their dreams

There are a number of galleries within the museum, each with their own fascinating artifacts, collections, and information.

Did you just love when the winter games were held in Vancouver? At the Vancouver 2010 Gallery, kids can relive the excitement, and even stand on a real medal podium and strike that winning medal pose! They might just feel what it's like to win gold - and know that they can do it!

You can even see the 2010 Olympic torch that is signed by those who carried it.

For those future great sportswomen, the In Her Footsteps Gallery has a great interactive touch-screen where you can learn all about female athletes, coaches, and officials. If you have girls in the family, this is a great exhibition for them!

Other exhibits include the Hall of Champions Gallery, the Aboriginal Sport Gallery (the only one of it's kind in North America!), and a trip back through history to when Vancouver hosted the British Empire and Commonwealth Games.

For those active kids, you can use up some of that energy and test yourself in the Participation Zone, where a number of interactive games can be enjoyed, including a climbing wall, race car simulator, and running track!

It's not just for sports lovers, the BC Sports Hall Of Fame is for history lovers too, and a great way to show kids they can be whoever they want to be!
