About Arkona Lions Museum
Arkona Lions Museum is located at Rock Glen Conservation Centee in Ontario. The museum displays Devonian fossls and artifacts including gasropods, crinoids and so many more that will interest all ages and the whole family.
In 2015, the museum was upgraded with lots of now fossils and six new display cases. The centre will teach you all about the rich history of the area and hows an impressive collection of fossils. One of the volunteer stewards is known as The Fossil Guy and he brings decades of experience and knowledge classifying and displaying fossils, so make sure you say hello and he'll be happy to help with any questions you may have!
Whilst you're visiting, remember to check out the Rock Glen Conservation Area too! It's a day-use area and features recreational walking trails through the Carolinian Forest with spectacular viws of the Rock Glen Falls waterfall. There are wide gravel trails, bridges and sparcases to explore and you'll get to experence the wonders of the hidden gem. Just remember that the gorge is steep, so stick to the maintain trails and take care on the stairs and wear appropriate footwear and clothing.
