About Sealife Sydney

Who is ready to explore that amazing world we call the ocean! And no kids, you don't have to get wet to learn all about the amazing creatures we have under the water. Sealife Sydney is an underwater adventure...on land!

Sealife Sydney has over 12,000 creatures that represent over 650 species from the ocean. Did you know there were that many species in our oceans? (Actually there are LOTS more!) There are a a number of really stand out exhibits and experiences, which let kids really get up close to these amazing creatures and learn all about them.

Did you know that at Sydney Aquarium you can get a glass bottomed boat ride for 15 minutes through an amazing Great Barrier Reef zone? You can really see what inhabitants that great piece of nature has living in it!

The Discovery Rockpool is always one of the kids favourite sections, because there is hands on learning and interaction with a variety of smaller sea creatures, which vary regularly throughout the day so they can return during the visit and experience something different.

There is a live feed for children to control filming beneath the rockpool surface for those kids who can't or won't get their hands wet, plus Rockpool Tales at posted intervals. Great hands-on fun!

There are exhibits where you can learn what is actually living in Sydney Harbour itself, and South Coast Shipwreck where you can uncover the animals native to the Southern Oceans.

Freshwater animals such as the platypus, and those sweet and cheeky Dugongs are all waiting to make new friends with you - so why not go say hi!

Sealife Sydney also gives you one of a kind experiences, such as the Shark Reef Snorkel. It's an experience you won't be forgetting in a long time! And yes, it involves getting in the water with the sharks! There are great behind the scenes experiences too.

Shark tunnels, ray tanks, and a walk through aquarium tunnel - it will actually feel like you are deep under the ocean. Who knows what you will discover!
