About Scitech Discovery Centre
Scitech is a hands-on science centre with exhibitions, programs and services designed for people of all ages. They make science communication an inspiring and exciting experience. Scitech has been inducted into the Western Australian Tourism Awards Hall of Fame as a major tourist attraction. Each year, around 250,000 visitors come through the City West Centre.
They are always looking for fascinating new ways to actively engage people in science and technology. Their exhibits, shows, programs and exhibitions are constantly changing in line with the latest innovations, meaning no two visits to Scitech are ever the same. Every visit to Scitech is an adventure in curiosity! They positively encourage visitors to touch, switch, climb, crank, twist, turn, ponder and explore.
Scitech appeals to the inquisitive mind in all of us and allows anyone to learn more about science, technology, maths and engineering in a safe, enjoyable and educational environment. Their in-house workshop crew are world-renowned for their innovative and creative exhibit design that makes discovering more about what makes our world work easy and satisfying.

Any top tips when visiting?
All prices includes a session in the Planetarium, all science and puppet shows plus the current feature exhibition. Please note: children under 4 years will NOT be admitted to any Horizon show.
Does Scitech Discovery Centre have a gift shop?
You can find books, experiments, games, modelling kits and plenty of other fun objects. New products are continually updated to reflect Scitech’s feature exhibitions designed to enhance the learning experience. There is also a dedicated area for teachers, displaying an extensive range of experiment books, science experiment kits and science equipment for the classroom.
Teachers corner
Scitech offers an engaging learning environment designed to help Primary and Secondary students understand science concepts in an exciting and memorable way. Their programs take place in the exhibition galleries, Lotterywest Science Theatre, Puppet Theatre, the Planetarium, CSIRO Lab and Digital Studio. Scitech works with science centres and planetaria across the world to bring the best practice science teaching and learning techniques to Western Australia.
