Roma Street Parkland is a beautiful option for an admission-free family day out, as it's here you can immerse yourselves in the horticultural splendour & beautiful green spaces all set across 16 hectares!

It's here children can enjoy a host of exceptional sights, including the Spectacle Garden in Colin Campbell Place, which is a world-class garden showcasing colourful and unique subtropical foliage as well as beautiful flowering plants.

You can also find a stunning rainforest walk which is always enjoyable for the family!

If you visit on a warm day, you’ll see plenty of Eastern Water Dragons lounging throughout the parkland’s rocks and pathways, soaking up the sun! How fun!

What's also great about Roma Street Parkland, is that if you want to learn more about the scenery you can join a  free guided tour which run throughout the year, but you do need to register in advance.  

If you want to spend some time relaxing at Roma Street Parkland and really making a day of it, don't miss the a free barbeques and lush picnic spots, as well as fun playgrounds, all with incredible views of the Parkland’s flora, fauna and The City skyline.

Toilets and baby change facilities are located at key points throughout the parkland including the Carriage Shed, the Lakeside BBQ area, the Amphitheatre and near the Harry Oakman Pavilion in the Upper Parkland.

The Garden Room café, located off Parkland Boulevard at the top of Celebration Lawn offers dine-in and takeaway options.

The Children’s Garden is divided into two playground areas, so be sure to check out both!
