Rockingham Wild Encounters
About Rockingham Wild Encounters
Based on the shores of the spectacular Shoalwater Islands Marine Park, 45 minutes south of Perth, Rockingham Wild Encounters operates a ferry service to Penguin Island, the only tour operator permitted to do so, and offer a range of cruises to get up close and personal with the local dolphins, sea lions and penguins.
Penguin Island is a truly unique place and possibly Perth’s best kept secret! White sandy beaches, calm crystal clear waters ideal for swimming and snorkelling and plenty of wildlife to see, best of all it’s only a 5 minute ferry ride away. It is home to WA’s largest colony of little penguins which visitors can meet at the Discovery Centre.
And you can now experience swimming with wild dolphins with Australia’s original and multi award winning wild dolphin specialists. With over 20 years of experience, friendship and trust built up with the local dolphins, they offer visitors a unique opportunity to interact with these fascinating creatures in their natural environment. You may see mothers nursing calves, discover how they use stingrays to catch their dinner or watch the boys showing off for the ladies. It’s the ultimate wildlife encounter!
