The animals at Red's Zoo are accessible to visitors, particularly because it is a hands-on zoo. The ‘hands-on experience’ that you receive in Red's Zoo is what makes it so unique. You can feed the animals, hold a snake, pat a rufous bettong, or tickle a ferret in this zoo. Over one hundred species of birds and animals will engage your imagination: koalas, wombats, dingoes, exotic birds, reptiles, kangaroos, and many others.

Prior to taking ownership of the Peel Zoo in September 2019, Bradley R Holland, also known as Ranger Red, operated Red’s Roving Australian Wildlife Displays. The new name for the Zoo reflects Ranger Red’s vision for the Zoo going forward.

Same great experiences are still available when visiting Ranger Red's Zoo & Conservation Park, even if the name has changed from Peel Zoo!

The tracks through are all paved. In other words, they are wheel chair and walking frame friendly. What's more, the Zoo is compact and dense with exhibits, so it's very easy to see a lot, in a short space of time.
