About Queen Victoria Museum

The Queen Victoria Museum offers Tasmanian Social History and Natural Science collections spread across six installations which are suitable for family viewing. The range is large from dinosaurs to death masks and encompasses a regularly varying selection of artefacts and items.

The Phenomena Factory is their interactive, learn science through play centre. Hands on fun education suitable for almost all age groups, however little ones may not get the most out of it!

There is also a plentarium which offers regualr shows throughout the year. Gaze in wonder at the starts and learn all about space.

It's been open since 1968, so it's well established with visitors throughout Australia!

If you're planning a school trip then The Queen Victoria Museum is the perfect educational visit. They have lots of programs, resources and activities to keep all brains ticking!

They have lots of events throughout the year that are free to, so make sure to check out their events calendar on the website to see what's happening when you visit.
