Morton National Park is nature on a grand scale! How does exploring the forests until you find the stunning cascading Fitzroy Falls sound? You never know what you might find on the way! Perhaps you want to make your way up to the top of Pigeon House Mountain Didthul? You won't believe the views from the top - make sure you bring your camera!
The park is enormous, so really does have something for everyone! If you are an experienced bushwalker searching out that remote wilderness hiking trails, or a first time mountain biker after that easy ride - it's all there!
Photographers you will be in your element here. Everywhere you look there will be something you want to capture on camera!
Have you ever seen a gorge completely dissect the landscape next to pockets of rainforest teeming with wildlife? When you get there, just stand for a few minutes and take it in. What can you spot? If you stay really still, you never know what might pop it's head out!
If you want to take a break or have a relaxing family picnic, there are a number of picnic areas, as well as more informal spots for you to take a break and just enjoy the view.
It's such a big park, that a lot of families opt to spend a few days, so if you want to camp just head to Gambells Rest campground in the Bundanoon precinct of the park. Set up camp and just enjoy the fact you will get to do it all again the next day!
The visitor centre is the best starting point for your trip.

I’m Hungry! Can I get food at Morton National Park?
The Falls Cafe at the visitor centre has an tasty menu which can be inside or outside on the deck out in the forest. There are picnic and barbecue areas so you can bring your own food if you like to enjoy as a family!
Any top tips when visiting?
If you want to do climbing, canyoning or caving in the park you'll have to make a written application for consent prior to your trip. It would be worth it though!

The park is a popular destination for school excursions because of the abundance of nature and history.

There are a great number of commercial tour guides and day adventure specialists operating here, so just check well in advance if you're thinking of using one.
