Koala Hospital
About Koala Hospital
The Koala Hospital recommends that anyone who wants to visit the animals they treat be at least five years old (as anything younger than that might be too impatient to sit still long enough to really appreciate the visit). They also suggest that kids be given plenty of breaks, and that they bring some noise-cancelling headphones to block out the background noise. They also recommend that parents keep an eye on the amount of time spent at the hospital, as the experience can be very tiring for kids.

Koala Hospital FAQ’s
Doing our bit
As a not-for-profit organisation, Koala Conservation Australia is funded by donations from people and organisations within Australia and from across the world, bequests, and souvenir shop sales.
What is there to do?
The Koala Hospital consists of exhibit enclosures, a treatment clinic, intensive care units, and rehabilitation yards, wherein koalas may learn to climb trees as part of their rehabilitation process.
Visitors can observe koala evolution and biology in addition to examining koala scat through a microscope in the Koalaseum, a museum devoted to koalas.
Any top tips when visiting?
Visiting koalas is a unique opportunity to get up close to these beautiful creatures, and to learn more about their lives and habitat. An encounter with a koala is a special experience you can’t get anywhere else. Be sure to bring a bag of eucalyptus leaves with you if you want to really show these guys some love!
Does Koala Hospital have a gift shop?
You may also purchase a gift or memento at the gift shop.
