Jenolan Caves
About Jenolan Caves
How old are you? Right....now add 340 million years to that, and you have the age of Jenolan Caves. That's a lot of birthday cake!
Jenolan Caves are the WORLDS oldest show caves, with 11 incredible cave tours available for you and your family to adventure through. It's not as tough as it sounds either - the tours are graded for different degrees of fitness and difficulty, and suitable for all ages, so the whole family can enjoy this incredible experience together.
Meander through the huge stalactites lowering themselves from the cave roof above, and wind past the mighty stalagmites as they seemingly pierce the ground.
Fancy something slightly different - take one of their night tours! On all days except Sunday you can experience the caves from a slightly different point of view.
If you want something a bit more adventurous, try the super fun Adventure Caving. Squeeze, crawl and climb through amazing winding passageways, with only the glow of your headlamp to show you the way. Exciting! Mainly suitable for kids over 8 years of age (or the really super brave!)
If its school holiday season, bring your kids aged 7 -11 as they run tours specifically for those ages, so ensure they can participate in fun and educational tours designed just for them - including the Bats, Bugs and Beasties tour where they can experience the cool creatures that hang out down in the depths around you. Wait...whats that!? Oh...its just a BAT!
Not only can you take a tour through the caves, but you can enjoy a fun musical concert in there too! How many of your friends have sat and watched a concert deep underground? We bet not many! Keep an eye out for the listings so you don't miss out.
