Hammond Park is home to a wonderful native bird and animal collection, all of which can be seen by those visiting the park. There is also a variety of fish and birds in and around the pond area.
Want to meet more animals? Just enjoy the walk through the park to the animal sanctuary, where kids can get up close and personal to kangaroos, emus and peacocks. How adorable!
Hammond Park is also home to the impressive miniature Bavarian Castle that is said to have 40,000 gemstones decorating the facade. Kids, if you want to entertain yourselves even more, try and count them all!
Whilst parents get the lunch ready on the BBQ, kids can spend time in the playground. Enjoy a relaxing picnic under the trees or sit in the heritage listed rotunda. This beautiful structure is over 100 years old and is one of the largest in Australia. Pretty impressive!
