When you live in a town or a city, it's always lovely when you find a garden or park to take the kids to. But what if you had a special botanic garden nearby! If you're in Dubbo, welcome to the Dubbo Regional Botanic Garden! The Dubbo Regional Botanic Garden is a way to liven those senses, and give kids a chance to explore all of theirs.

There are four distinctive garden spaces within the garden as a whole. Take a stroll through the Shoyoen - the refreshing Japanese garden. It's the perfect place for kids to be introduced to a whole other culture.

The Biodiversity Garden showcases those plants of the local region - have a look around. Did you think that there would be so many different plants in Dubbo and the surrounding areas? Pretty impressive!

Kids will love the Sensory Garden too because it's such an unusual experience. It's been designed to take them all of their senses - touch, taste, smell, sight and sound...and amazing to see their faces as they experience something new!

And finally, the Oasis Valley is designed to showcase a range of beautiful dry rainforest species that can also tell the story about how all of these species evolved from those rainforests back in the time when we had Gondwanaland! How cool is that!

A great learning experience for kids because not only are they learning about plants, and their senses, but also history!
