About Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink

NB  Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink has today been advised to close until further notice due to urgent circumstances regarding our roof beams. We are engaging with engineers and contractors to determine necessary requirements for rectification and repair so we can re-open as soon as possible.  

 

Ice skating is SO much fun, so why not make it the focus of your next family day out and head to Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink!

Ice skating is a great experience that allows the family to spend time together. It keeps kids using up all of that energy that we know they have, they can gain confidence, learn new skills, and maybe make new friends too!

Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink offers a number of public skating sessions across the week. Your admission gets you into one session, and during this time you can skate for as long or as little as you like. It's YOUR time to do what you want with!

No matter if you are just starting out, or you have been skating like a pro for years, everyone is welcome!

If you are just starting out and want to learn some basics of skating, check out the Learn To Skate lessons. Also within Skate School you can explore Ice Hockey, Figure Skating, Speed Skating and so much more!

Celebrating a birthday? Why not host your party at Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink? It's a fun way for kids to keep active with friends AND have a super COOL birthday party to boot!

I’m Hungry! Can I get food at Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink?

There is a heated canteen where you can pick up a host of snacks and drinks to keep those tummies from rumbling!

Any top tips when visiting?

It's a good idea to take some extra socks as you may need the padding for your skates

Does Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink have a gift shop?

There is a Pro Shop for all of your skating needs! If you plan on skating frequently, it's a good idea to consider purchasing skates to save you on the skate hire costs!

Teachers corner

Bookings are essential for school groups, and they offer times during weekdays within the school term. You just need a minimum of 15 skaters in the group, so why not get the class out for some active fun!

Is Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink fully accessible?

There is disabled access, and there are disabled toilets available

The Disco sessions are $1 more than the regular sessions, and the Mega Session is $16 for everyone.
