About Knoxville Zoo
Who is excited to see some ANIMALS! If you are heading to the largest attraction in Knoxville, then you certainly will be having an animal adventure - at Knoxville Zoo!
Knoxville Zoo lets the whole family experience wildlife up close, allowing kids to come face to face with some pretty incredible creatures. Over 800 of them in fact!
Here, you don't have to travel the world to see creatures from Africa, Australia, or Asia - you just have to travel to Tennessee. Pretty amazing!
Kids can experience creatures great and small, from the elephants and giraffes of Africa, to the majestic gorillas, grand lions, and playful river otters. There might even be some creatures you haven't heard of before!
Kids, have you any idea what a Chacoan Peccarie is, or perhaps a yellow-backed Duiker? There is only one way to find out!
What's great about Knoxville Zoo, is that the family can learn about all of the creatures as you walk around, as there is information everywhere.
The zoo also offers great interactive experiences too! Have you ever ridden a camel, or played zookeeper? You can also check out the fun Animals In Action show, or take a fascinating Behind The Scenes tour, to see what really goes on at a zoo.
If that wasn't enough, you can even cool off at Clayton Safari Splash - the largest splash pad in Knox County, with over 5,000 square feet of splishy splashy fun! So what are you waiting for, let’s go to the zoo!
